Summer Learning Journey (Vector Art)

 Hello everyone,

Today I am going to talk about vector art. Vector art is about copying from a real picture. I chose kirby he is my favourite character and my main for a game. He was very easy to copy and it came out really cute. I think I did a pretty good job.

After I finished the outlines I had to colour it in. I looked at the picture several times. It was really fun and I wanted to do more. I picked out different pictures but I didn't get a lot of time to do them. The only one I got to do was the original colour and look.

Summer Learning Journey (NASA Art)

Hello everyone,

Today I am going to talk about Summer Learning Journey. This time I did colouring on a different site, the drawings we got to do were about space. There where a lot of cool ones but it didn't look like the real picture. I decided to do an easy one but it wouldn't let colour in the countries.

After I finished drawing the windows I decided to go freestyle to see how would I go. It looked kind of like the picture but not so close. After I finished doing freestyle I was too lazy to change it to try make it the same picture.

Summer Learning Journey (Art)

 Hello everyone,

Today I am going to talk about summer learning journey. This year for Summer Learning Journey we did a lot of things like making planes,drawing and more. I chose the easiest one which is colouring/drawing. It only took a while because I needed to see the real picture of what it looked like. 

After I finished the hair and the face I started doing the clothing. I had to do the flowers because it looks white but it's not. I looked at the real photo of it and it looked nothing like mine. The real photo was very light and mine was a bit dark.

Tabloid Sports

Hello everyone,

Today I am going to be talking about tabloid sports. This year we have started tabloid sports. For the teams the teachers/staff have randomized the teams. Each team gets a team leader chosen by the teachers/staff. 

Once the games started everyone started running to the activities. The first activity I did was nerf throw. The point of the game was to throw the nerf things into a hoop. Each hoop has a point like 1,2,5 and 10. For the first throw I tried to aim for the highest points but I only got 2 points. The rest of my group tried but we unfortunately lost.

There was a lot of other games like egg and spoon,skipping with hoops, three legged race (etc). Since each of the games took a while we have to resume the game after morning tea. we did a few more games after that. 

After tabloids was over the bell rang and we had to see which team got the most points. Then everyone went home but the winners from first place the third got prizes.

My Character Profile #2

 Hello everyone, 

Today I am going to be talking about my second character profile. This time it's about Bob Snarby. In the book when Tad switch's into Bobs body he woke up in Bobs caravan. Bob's family wasn't very rich but they were very mean to him.

Sooner or later I had to write facts about him (Bob) and his family. If you move on the ninth chapter you can see that the title is face to face. It's when Tad see's his own body/Bob. After that you know that Bob doesn't like his  family and their mean to him. 

But then Tad goes back to his home (his home is now the caravan) where Doll and Eric were. Apparently Doll was worried sick about him and missed him so much that she wouldn't eat. But the first time Tad met her she was eating as much as a pig.

My Character Profile

 Hello everyone, 

Today I am going to talk about my follow up. For my follow up we have to do a character profile about Tad Spencer. I wrote facts about him and about his family also a bit abut his lifestyle. There are a lot of facts of him that I haven't got to yet. 

Later on in the book he switched into another person, and had no idea what to do.  Later on he liked his life as a another person skinny and not chubby.  He wanted to be Bob Snarby but he didn't know what to call himself, Bob or Tad.

Final Athletics

 Hello everyone,

Today I am going to talk about athletics. The first thing we did was high jump. When we first arrived there/walked I felt like someone stabbed me in the back. After a while it started getting higher and higher. On one of the jumps I failed it and sat down. I would've kept going but my legs and back were in so much pain.

After finishing some of the things we did more like sprints (etc). We did it in our school (like always). I got first place in two things I like doing long jump and discus. When we finished high jump we had to go to my least favourite thing.

Flowers

 Hello everyone,

Today I am going to talk about my flower. Every year the classes get to choose something to do. Like drawing a flower or making a clay model. There was a lot of choices that you could choose. But our teacher said we could only do some of them.

After you finish doing your flower poems you could do Lego's or draw. Most people chose Lego's but a lot of people chose clay making. The flower I chose to draw was  a Daphne. I had a bit of trouble drawing it because of the petals. I am not fully finished with the flower because I didn't colour it in.

My Cinquain Poem

 Hello everyone,

Today I am going to talk about my cinquain poem. My poem is about a Lotus and an Iris. It took me one day to finish both of the poems because it only has five lines. A lot of people were asking for help around the classroom. The first flower I choose was a Lotus/Water Lily because last year my friend Venice drew a Water Lily.

After I finished I was going to do another one but I didn't have any more time. I was going to type something until everyone started running to the door. I slowly walked over to the door but forgot my hat on the way.

Water Safety

 Hello everyone,

This week our reading group is learning about water safety. For our have to do task it said to make a poster about how to stay safe in water. I have made a lot of safety things you can do.  You can use any while your at the Beach or in a pool.

Later on when I finished I had few more ideas but I didn't put them on. I also made a game about water safety. It is really short and very easy, all you have to do is click the right one. There is only six pages in the game.

100 Word Count Writing

 Hello everyone 

Today I am going to be talking about my 100 word count. This weeks prompt was a picture it look like fossils were glued together to make a round ball. This story was about a kid making this into a clay model. his friend tried to help a little bit but not that much.

After that Matt (main character) won the competition. As I was writing that down I wanted to check how many words there were. When I checked there was 125 words so I had to fix it. I deleted a long line just to fix it but there was a lot of words left.

 Hello everyone,

Today I am going to talk about my story. This weeks prompt were 5 words. I had no idea what I was doing at first. But I thought of a normal sized person and a smaller person. The normal person  nearly lost the tiny man. They had a very weird day that they were confused about.

Later in the day Dave (normal sized person) thought he lost his friend. Then he magically shows up at Daves door. I also had to make sure it was exactly 100 words.

Similes Comparing My Friends

 Hello everyone,

Today I am going to talk about my reading follow up. This week we have been learning about similes. For our can do task I decided to choose the first one which was "describe three of your friends using similes." First off I ask Marvin he said he was lazy then he had a better idea he said he was creative. I had to think of a creative animal. The first animal that came to my mind was a grey warbler. I remembered that grey warblers were very creative nest builders.

After that I asked my other two friends James and Lyah. I would first ask them so I could get an idea. James said he was energetic. Then I thought of a dog. "Dogs are very energetic" I thought so I wrote it down. Before I asked Lyah she thought of one herself she didn't really like her idea. So I thought of one myself she was as crazy as a wild bear.

For this week I am going to talk about reading follow up. This week we have been learning about similes. We were reading two books the titles were "A Rock In A Hard Place". This week's book was "Friday Night Out". Last week story we only had one simile which was "his face was as hard as a rock"

Our work for this week is to show the similes we found in a creative way. Before we started showing them our teacher showed us how we can display them. I decided to to the same thing. All I had to do was put pictures of what the simile was comparing.

100 Word Count

Hello everyone,

Today I am going to talk about my 100 word count. I finally caught up to this weeks writing. For this week the prompt was explosive. It didn't take me so long to use the word in the story. When I first saw the word I looked at it till I got an idea.

While I was writing I decided to make my character have a name later on in the story. There was two people in a field of bombs. One of the bombs nearly exploded on Jim's face. I got a little bit of help by someone. They only helped by reading my story.

Olympics

Hello everyone,

Today for reading we learnt some facts about the Olympics. We had to write some facts about the Olympics. My buddy Lyah and I made presentation after that we picked something to talk about. For our presentation we wrote some facts about skateboarding. 

We got some pictures to put on some of our slides. of the Olympics like the logo. We didn't take so long to make this presentation. I hope you like, we spent about two days working on this presentation. We also talked about volley ball.  Sometimes we had to search up things we weren't sure about.

New Buddies

 Hello everyone,

Today for buddy class we got to pick new buddies. My buddies names are Talasoaga and Logan. We were working on a story. The story was about a goose hissing inside of the bush. I talked to Talasoaga and Logan. Talasoaga decided a goose was making the noise. The real story was about a girl and boy, the girl's name was Nicola and the boy's name was James. I asked Talasoaga if she wanted to be in a story. Then I asked Logan, but he didn't want to be in the story.

I was writing a story about me and Talasoaga and she wanted to look at the bush. The story was kind of detailed but I think it was kind of boring. While I was writing the story Talasoaga was drawing the goose protecting her eggs.

The Last Paper Mache

Hola! Everyone,

Today everyone had to take their paper mache to our assembly. Before no one was finished but now everyone started on their bird. Lots of people didn't finish. We had to wait for the paint and paint brushes. Unfortunately we didn't get any paint shirt. I was kind of scared to get the paint on my clothes.  

 When I started to paint it was going fine. It was going sort of perfectly until the paint dried. I was turning it left and right it was turning into a different colour. I mixed a tiny blob of black and a lot of white. I was trying to make a really light grey.

 I was painting the stomach of my bird but then it was turning pink. I didn't think much of it at first. So I started painting the wings brown. I looked at it carefully it started turning really dark red. My bird had a lot of white showing. I don't think I'm done with it.

Winter Learning Jorney

 Hello everyone, 

Today I'm going to talk about winter learning journey. Today I am doing a game, this is game is called Carmen Sandiego. This game is a spy game. It's about someone stealing the crown jewels. You have to try find the suspect. This Is The Link To The Game. 

Our teacher showed us an example to play the game. The magnifying glass is used to pick a location to go. Sometimes there are people that tell you things about the person they saw. E.X. if someone says " I saw the person you're looking for whether Mount Fuji is still active." You have to click the magnifying glass and it will show you a few choices. 

The Plane is used to chose were you go to a city. Mount Fuji is not in St. Louis but Mount Fuji is in Tokyo. After that you keep on going. Later on you can maybe find a companion. Soon our teacher finally found the person and finished the game.
